![]() The community has absolutely ruined this song. They stick it into just about every level, even if it’s way too loud to fit with the level’s mundane theming. The song is extremely epic and should only be used moderately. In 2.1, the song is still an extremely frequent find. People started to reuse it over and over in 1.9. The song’s so great that the GD community just had to overuse it to oblivion. It’s definitely a lot louder and energetic than AtSoL too. ![]() Just like AtSoL, Supernova’s another epic song about space travel. Many mistakingly call its second level Bloodbath the hardest level in the game. Even the worst of the worst players know what this series is. If you don’t know what the Apocalyptic Trilogy is and you’re on this Amino, you would’ve had to have been living under a rock for the past few years. All three levels in the trilogy (Cataclysm, Bloodbath, And Aftermath) used portions of the song until the song was finally finished in Aftermath. One of the most iconic series in GD known as the Apocalyptic Trilogy is what introduced the community to AtSoL. It’s now time to get into the two songs that people could absolutely never leave to rest. His songs are overused in GD, but they’re overused everywhere, so there’s not much we can do to preserve their quality. I’m pretty sure that Monody took over two years to make, which is an absolutely insane amount of time for a song under five minutes. Some of TheFatRat’s songs are actually really good. The songs are pretty mainstream overall, so they’re used pretty often everywhere.Įven then, it’s a shame that some of these songs are starting to come off as generic due to their usage in generic Minecraft videos, timer videos, mediocre mobile game (and mobile game ads) and etc. I don’t think the GD community is to blame for any staleness that these songs are starting to obtain though. Several popular levels such as 1.9’s Windy Landscape and early 2.0’s Unity used his songs. His songs aren’t just for throwaway generic levels either. People have started to use his songs back in 1.9, and they’re still being used quite often today. Even then, most of these songs are enjoyable. He’s actually made a decent amount of songs though, most of which are pretty basic in structure. If the name of the artist that made this song sounds familiar, then it’s because it is. Oh and no new updates came out during that timeframe. There’s absolutely been a few dailies with it in the last two years as well. However, I have a good feeling that it still lingers about in generic features. I haven’t really checked in with Colorblind’s usage recently. Colorblind started off as a good song that became extremely annoying and obnoxious after it started getting overused to death. However, as you’ll see with many of these songs, using these songs over and over again greatly taints their appeal. ![]() The song’s quality is just better overall, showing that effort was clearly put into it. This song is a lot more fast paced, energetic, and “modern” than TBoT, so I can sort of see its appeal. However, levels that use it tend to have more obnoxious gameplay than those that used TBoT, such as mini portal and speed portal abuse. It’s another song that’s used for generic levels. If you don’t, you haven’t been in the community for long enough.Ĭolorblind appeared in what I recall was around the middle of 2.0. However, you should definitely be familiar with these last seven. You might not have remembered the first song I mentioned being so overused. It might’ve even died off before the end of 1.9. I mentioned this song first because, although it did get overused, it pretty much died off right as 2.0 came around. Pretty much the entire song is the same leitmotif, only remixed in style every so often. In all honesty, after you hear it so many times, TBoT starts to get quite old. These levels usually never passed seven stars in difficulty. You could likely encounter it in pretty much any of the equivalent of a generic level in 1.9. The song from this Nate and Waterflame surge that I feel like was overused the most however was The Beginning Of Time. ![]() This was what caused a surge in usage of songs like Glorious Morning, Race Around The World, Space Pirates, Final Battle, and etc. However, many people opted to use songs from artists that worked on official level songs: namely Waterflame and dj-Nate. With the arrival of 1.9, there was of course the rush to use tons of new custom music.
